Atmonia

Atmonia plans to reinvent the nitrogen economy. Its technology will accelerate the transition from a centralised Haber Bosch based model, to a distributed, modular fertilizer production ecosystem. Its single-step electrochemical process produces green ammonia from air, water and electricity at ambient conditions. Founded by Dr. Helga Flossdotir and Dr. Egill Skulason, materials scientists from the University of Iceland. Atmonia has won multiple Icelandinc and EU grants, identifying it as one of the leading technologies in the green ammonia space.
