Tom Allen-Stevens is an Oxfordshire arable farmer and founder of BOFIN, a 3,700-member network advancing farmer-led innovation through scientifically robust on-farm trials. For 25 years, he has championed farmers’ role in developing agricultural technologies, particularly plant breeding and biological solutions. An award-winning agricultural journalist and former chair of the Oxford Farming Conference, Tom now leads collaborative projects spanning precision-bred crops, pulses, slug control, and soil and root health, connecting farmers with scientists, innovators and citizen scientists to accelerate practical change.
