Marc Brévot
Born in the South of France, Marc Brévot has spent much of his life travelling - a passion which he says helps him keep an open mind. Both an epicurean and a detail-oriented perfectionist, Brévot holds a degree in agricultural engineering from ENSAIA University in Nancy, France.
Thanks to what he considers a “lucky break,” he began his career at LVMH Moët Hennessy in Tokyo. There he supervised the scientific and technological intelligence of the group’s various branches. He quickly realized that he had found his calling and his professional home with the Group.
After two years in Japan, Brévot returned to France for further training at the University of Oenology in Bordeaux where he graduated from the DUAD. In 2002 he joined Jas Hennessy & Co. in Cognac, France, where he put his new skills to work advising and evaluating the company’s suppliers. With an easy personality that belies great drive, Brévot continued to perfect his knowledge by earning an internationally-recognized degree in winemaking (DNO) from the University of Reims.
In 2004 Brévot settled in Moët & Chandon’s home city of Epernay, France. As Winemaker and Technical Advisor for the firm, Brévot wore many hats and managed scientific projects in a wide range of operations, from wine quality to pressing to new product development.
In 2018, he was promoted R&D Director of MHCS, the Champagne branch of LVMH group and in 2021 Director of the newly created Moët Hennessy research center dedicated to blending science and savoir-faire for the sustainability of luxury wines and spirits.
